Advocates Against Abuse

April is Child Abuse Prevention month and during this time the Kalamazoo County Child Abuse & Neglect Prevention Council aims to increase awareness and funds in order to stand against child abuse & neglect. This event, which is being held on April 8th 2022 from 6-8pm, will be an awareness event, where we discuss the public health crisis of childhood maltreatment, its effects and how we work to prevent it. We also have the privilege of hearing from Justin & Alexis Black, who are authors of the book Redefining Normal as well as former foster youth who have faithfully fought against their trauma and share their story in order to raise awareness and make change in communities all around.

Mark you calendars for this evening, you won’t want to miss it! This event is being held at 601 W Maple St. Kalamazoo MI 49001
